Time pressure, technological hurdles, and a lack of resources—a race against time.
Digitalization in healthcare is a marathon, not a sprint. But sometimes, every second counts. In our collaboration with MEDIFOX DAN, that was exactly the case: the existing app was technologically outdated, the switch to a modern platform was long overdue—and time was running out.
The challenge was to seamlessly migrate to a new technology that not only expanded functionality but also prepared the internal development team for the future. With Cayas as a partner, a race against time began—with a clear goal in sight.
MEDIFOX DAN is a leading provider of software solutions for elderly and nursing care. Their digital applications help care facilities make administrative and nursing processes more efficient—from documentation and billing to staff scheduling. With the further development of their mobile app, MEDIFOX DAN faced the challenge of making the digital care world even more powerful and future-proof.
The existing CareMobile app was technologically outdated and only available for Android. A modernization was urgently needed to create a platform-independent, future-proof solution. In addition, the existing development team was heavily utilized and required additional capacity.
Cayas took over the migration to .NET MAUI, which means the app can now be used on both Android and iOS. At the same time, the architecture was modernized and the user guidance was optimized to make the app more intuitive and efficient.
»Thanks to Cayas, we were not only able to modernize the MEDIFOX DAN CareMobile app, but also to relieve our internal development team enormously. The combination of know-how transfer, technical expertise and smooth cooperation was exactly what we needed for this project.«

The deadline was clear: the app had to be ready for the next "Altenpflege" trade fair. Without external support, it would have been nearly impossible to successfully complete the migration within this timeframe. Cayas acted as a strategic partner and technical lead. Through structured development processes, close coordination with the MEDIFOX DAN team, and targeted prioritization, the app was completed on time. The new system now enables faster development cycles and easier updates.
The switch to .NET MAUI was not just a technological update; it also required training the internal team on new development structures and best practices. Cayas not only handled the technical implementation but also ensured effective knowledge transfer. Through workshops, code reviews, and documented best practices, the internal development team was empowered to make future adjustments independently.
Thanks to the collaboration with Cayas, MEDIFOX DAN was not only able to bring its app up to date technologically but also to strengthen its internal structures for future digital projects. The care industry is changing—and MEDIFOX DAN is well-prepared with its modern app.
